Bird watching: bird in the sprinkler

Self-tutoring about bird lifestyle: the tutor reports an observation.

I recall robins on the lawn during rain, but what about other birds? My gut says I seldom see them.

This morning, after I turned on a sprinkler, I noticed a white crowned sparrow in its range. I wondered if the bird would be surprised by the drips when they touched it, but no. It seemed to be in the sprinkler’s coverage intentionally. The temp is 15C.
