Bird watching: golden-crowned sparrow

Self-tutoring about birds: the tutor mentions the golden-crowned sparrow.

Lately I’ve been watching birds in the yard. I turned over some garden patches, preparing for planting; ever since, birds have been gleaning them. Most evident are the varied thrush and dark-eyed juncos. However, in the bustle, I’ve been convinced there were other birds I couldn’t quite discern.

One new kind, however, I believe I have identified: the golden-crowned sparrow. I was looking for confirmation and noticed in the guide that one might see them with dark-eyed juncos.

I’ve been hearing trills, too, which could be from the golden-crowned sparrow, juncos, or yet some other bird.
