Calculator usage: deg to rad, rad to deg conversion on the Casio fx-260solar
The tutor shares another convenient feature of the Casio fx-260solar.
In high school math, you might have to convert between degrees and rads. It’s easy with the Casio fx-260solar; here’s how:
Example 1
Convert 60 degrees to rads.
Solution:
- Let’s start in deg mode (MODE 4).
- Enter 60.
- Key SHIFT MODE 5. Now you’re in rad mode; hopefully you see 1.047197551 across the screen. 60 degrees is, in fact, 1.047197551rads.
Example 2
Convert 2.3rads to degrees.
- Start in rad mode (MODE 5).
- Enter 2.3.
- Key SHIFT MODE 4. Now you’re in degree mode; hopefully you see 131.7802929. Indeed, 2.3rads is 131.7802929deg.
