Calculator Usage: Storing and recalling values using the memory of the Sharp EL-510RN
Tutoring high school math, calculators are important. The tutor mentions the memory functions on the Sharp EL-510RN.
Like some other functions, memory ones on calculators aren’t always intuitive to everyone. Sometimes it takes awhile to figure it out then get used to it.
As far as I can tell, the Sharp EL-510RN can store two values: one in X, the other in Y.
Let’s imagine the value you want to store is on the screen. To store it in X, press STO (2nd from the right, third row from the top), then ab/c (same row, 2nd from the left). If you’d rather store it in Y, press STO then DMS (same row, 3rd from the left).
To retrieve a value from X, press RCL (same row, third from right) then ab/c. From Y, press RCL then DMS.
