Coincidences: I look like George
Self-tutoring about life and coincidence: the tutor relates a funny story.
To protect the name(s) of the innocent, the name used wasn’t actually George. Yet this did really happen.
The other day I was walking by a high school. Outside were some kids I could tell were cool. Their wide classroom door was open: obviously they were free to range between inside and out.
“Hey George,” one of them raised his head and shouted, in my direction.
I’m not George, so didn’t respond. Anyway, I was still about 100 feet away, but approaching.
As I closed in, I could tell the kid was talking to me. “Sorry,” he said. “You look just like George.”
“No worries,” I smiled.
The kid and his friends re-entered the open door to their classroom. I heard him say into the room, “Hey George…there’s another one of you outside.”
I can only be flattered: George is most likely about 30 years younger than I. For both our sakes, I hope George is good-looking(?)
