Cryptozoology: big cats in UK

Self-tutoring about cryptozoology: the tutor mentions possible evidence that at least one big cat may indeed live loose in UK.

I’ve been hearing about big cat sightings in the UK for decades, it seems. While many might be skeptical, the sightings seem significant as a phenomenon. Moreover, it seems that in at least one case, a puma was captured.

Then, back in 2023, DNA evidence is said to have been collected from a sheep carcass. The DNA was scant, and not enough to signal a species, just a genus – Panthera. Panthera includes lions, tigers, leopards, and jaguars.

My understanding is that big cats can be reclusive.

Interesting, eh?
