Devices: crackly speakers
Self-tutoring about device management: the tutor mentions speakers that suddenly crackled, and what he did about it.
Our main computer, in the kitchen, is a desktop. It’s the one people use when more than one is involved – for instance, when I’m watching my son play chess. We also watch chess videos thereon, and he often plays music while he plays chess. Needless to say, those speakers are pretty important.
Yesterday, when I put on a chess video, the speakers were crackling just out of the blue. I didn’t understand, so changed browsers – still crackling. Next, I turned the speakers off and on – still crackling. Finally, I reached underneath and behind the computer desk, tracing the speaker wire back to the computer. I disconnected it, waited about 30 seconds, then plugged it back in. I tried the speakers – no longer static:)
I will follow up with possible reasons why that worked. I’m just glad it did:)
