English: homonyms: bite and bight

Tutoring English, homonyms are always interesting. The tutor mentions bite and bight.

The following is according to my understanding.

Most people will probably agree that “bite” means a morsel of food. However, “bight” has been coming up in my reading lately.

Bight, in the marine context, can be a gradual inward curve, forming a subtle bay, along the shore.
