English: recency

Tutoring English, you might hear a new word. Is it new? The tutor investigates.

Recently, I heard the word recency for the first time. Is recency even a word, and if so, is it new?

Well, it’s in my 2004 Merriam-Webster, so I guess it’s indeed a word, and not that new.

Interestingly, this spell checker doesn’t seem happy with it:)
