English: word discoveries: brent
The tutor shares another word discovery from Boggle.
My regular readers likely know we play Boggle with our kids.
The other night, I claimed the word brent, thinking of North Sea brent, which is the output from those oil fields. Wikipedia agrees with me, but our first two dictionaries I checked didn’t back me up. Surprised, I realized I might not be able to score the word brent. (We use dictionaries, not the internet, to verify our words.)
The third dictionary I looked in has brent, but defines it as “a small goose with dark grey plumage.” Who knew? Anyway, on that basis, I got credit for the word.
