Holidays: Christmas cards

Self-tutoring about Christmas traditions: the tutor continues with one.

Back in my post on December 4, I mention writing Christmas cards. I wrote them, notwithstanding the postal strike. However, when they were ready to mail, the strike continued. The cards sat, ready, in a stack.

I guess the strike’s been over a couple of days. Today I went out, in the windy rain, to post them.

It’s my impression those Christmas cards won’t reach their destinations by Christmas. However, as they say, it’s the thought that counts. I think the authenticity of the cards arriving later because of a strike suggests an even deeper commitment to the tradition.

One wonders when the last Christmas cards from 2024 might be delivered:)
