Lifestyle: pineapple ripeness
Self-tutoring about selecting pineapples: the tutor mentions an observation.
Years ago my wife pointed out that if an inner leaf can be plucked from the crown of a pineapple, it’s ripe. I’ve found this true, but for my purpose, I elaborate it a bit.
I find, for best results, the inner leaf shouldn’t remove too easily – else the pineapple can be too ripe. Such has happened to me a couple of times. Therefore, I find that, for best results, the inner leaf should be removable, but somewhat reluctantly.
