Lifestyle: visit your friendly dollar store

Self-tutoring about the consumer lifestyle: the tutor mentions a habit that seems good to have.

I’m lucky to live in a place with not just one dollar store, but two. Ingeniously, the two don’t really compete with each other. One is less glamorous, perhaps more oriented towards necessities and lower prices. The other is better for occasional purchases and is a little pricier. I love them both.

Every time I visit a dollar store I notice things I’ve paid higher prices for at other places. Today was no exception: I noticed hardware I never would have thought to look for at a dollar store.

I think I should start making a weekly habit of visiting the dollar store, just to learn what else is there.
