My realization of an imminent plumbing repair crystallized this week. Friday morning I sat at the computer, deciding about ordering the necessary part online. I knew sooner would be better.

Suddenly I decided to call Andrew Sheret Limited. I hadn’t been there before, but knew it as a plumbing supply depot. Might they have the part?

I called and gave a part number.

“We have three,” I was told.

Sheret’s price was less than the online one I’d found. My son drove me there to pick up the part.

The new part’s installed now – that’s another story.
