Math: what is mensuration?
Tutoring math, terms arise. The tutor mentions mensuration.
Mensuration means determining quantities that can’t be measured directly from ones that can. Basic measurements or observations, arrived at using a measuring tool such as a ruler, protractor, watch, etc, are input into a given formula to arrive at a result not accessible by direct measurement.
Mensuration can be used to find heights, weights, and volumes of large objects; it’s also the way that forecasting is performed.
