Medication: semaglutide
Self-tutoring about medications: the tutor looks into semaglutide.
The following is my understanding.
Semaglutide is the active medication in Ozempic and Wegovy. Semaglutide is meant to take four actions: reduce appetite, slow digestion, increase insulin secretion (depending on blood sugar), and suppress glucagon release.
How semaglutide reduces appetite, and what the motivation would be to suppress glucagon release, are points of interest, hopefully for future posts.
