Music: “Let Your Love Flow, ” Bellamy Brothers
Self-tutoring about 70s music: the tutor revisits a classic.
“Let Your Love Flow” was a great hit for the Bellamy Brothers: they took it to No 1 on May 1, 1976. It was written by Larry Williams.
“Let Your Love Flow” is a catchy song that I would’ve classified as country. When I stumbled onto a protracted disco version, I recalled the song’s upbeat mood and agree that it’s dancy. I used to love hearing it on the radio: I was six when it hit number one.
As mentioned herein, “Let Your Love Flow’s” lyrics read spiritual. They’re spoken clearly, but their precision is easy enough to miss above its catchy tune and dancy beat.
Definitively 70s, and totally original, “Let Your Love Flow” is one of my fondest memories from back then.
