Politics: the outgoing Prime Minister in France, part 1

Self-tutoring about the recent change of PM in France: the tutor mentions a comparison.

François Bayrou, it seems, was recently voted from the post of Prime Minister in France. One might wonder the reason.

Bayrou wanted to pass a budget towards savings which included, among other ideas, canceling two public holidays. Apparently the abolishment of the two public holidays might have been signally unpopular.

One might wonder, therefore, how many public holidays France has: apparently 11.

By way of comparison, Canada has twelve, it seems.
