Politics: The Print, YouTube
Self-tutoring about politics: the tutor echoes a key point mentioned by The Print, a channel of YouTube.
The Print is a channel on YouTube I’ve found informative, as well as engaging. When I’m preparing dinner or cleaning the kitchen I listen to it sometimes.
Each video I’ve seen has many good points. Today I’ll cover one from a recent video: Brand India, CAA NRC, protests, Kashmir, questions in friendly capitals, and way out for Modi govt (Dec 19, 2019).
One important idea therein: if a country celebrates being liked by others, it must care about questions from them as well. Furthermore, in most progressive democracies, including India, leaders get elected partly because the outside world views them favourably. Therefore, a country’s leadership must be sensitive to international sentiment.
I hope to post much more about what I hear from The Print.
