Popular culture: “overthink”

Self-tutoring about trends in the English language: the tutor mentions the word “overthink.”

“Overthink” is a word one hears often nowadays, but I can’t recall it being used before the 90s.

Noticing the popularity, nowadays, of the word “overthink,” one might naturally wonder what we did without it before.

Some might suggest I’m overthinking the issue, but perhaps it’s interesting to keep track of people’s changing priorities as indicated by changes in their language.
