Tree identification: a tree with coral bark
Self-tutoring about trees one sees: the tutor mentions one that caught his eye.
The following is according to my understanding.
The bark might have been pink, or coral…whichever, it was striking. The tree with said bark was the size of a young ornamental tree, maybe with height around ten feet. I’ve walked by that location many times, but only noticed that tree the other day.
Perhaps a factor that makes the tree more noticeable is that, right now, it doesn’t seem to have leaves.
I looked up which kind of tree it is; I suppose it to be a coral bark Japanese maple. To me this makes sense: we have a lot of Japanese maples around here.
