United States: murders per year via firearms
Self-tutoring about the US: the tutor mentions a statistic that surprises him.
Apparently, there are 33 gun murders per day in the US. If I’m not mistaken, that suggests over 12,000 murders via firearm per year in the US.
The population of the US is now over 330 million. Therefore, it seems that, out of every 330,000 people in the US, 12 will be murdered by a gun in the course of a year.
Surprising, eh?
