Vocabulary: hellion

Self-tutoring about English: the tutor mentions a discovery.

hellion: a very difficult, chaotic person

I’ve known the term hellion for years, yet thought it wasn’t a real word, but just one someone had made up and caught on locally. After all, as a kid, I lived in some God-fearing places where Heaven and Hell were oft-mentioned.

Anyway, I never thought I’d see hellion in print. Yet, I encountered it in the dictionary today! I guess a few more people know of the word than I’d imagined.
