Math: when a graph crosses a horizontal asymptote

The tutor shows an example of a graph crossing its horizontal asymptote.

A graph can’t cross a vertical asymptote because it’s undefined at that value of x. However, a graph can cross a horizontal asymptote. Consider, for example, the graph below:

Since the degree of the numerator is less than that of the denominator, the graph has a horizontal asymptote along y=0 (aka, the x axis). However, at x=1.5, the numerator itself is equal to zero, meaning the graph crosses the x axis at (1.5,0). Thence, it dies off along the x axis.
