Home computer use: Ctrl-Break?

Self-tutoring about computer use: the tutor mentions the Break key.

I read the instruction to stop an app by the combination Ctrl-Break. Trouble is, this computer’s keyboard doesn’t have a Break key. What to do?

Apparently, Ctrl-C can accomplish the same effect, and did work for me in this case, though it’s not exactly the same (necessarily).

I hope to discuss this more.
