Business: Brazil vs Canada: gdp growth

Self-tutoring about the economies of Brazil and Canada: the tutor mentions a comparison.

In the year 2003, Brazil’s economy was about 0.5T (US), while Canada’s was about 0.9T. In 2022, Brazil’s is around 1.9T; Canada’s, around 2.2T.

Therefore, Canada’s economy multiplied by 2.44 during 2003-2022, suggesting an average annual growth rate of 4.6%. On the other hand, Brazil’s multiplied by 3.8, suggesting an average annual growth rate of 6.9%.

Someone asked me a couple of days ago why Brazil’s economy is so important. Well, 6.9% growth might be one reason:)
