Gardening: pollination of female pumpkin flowers
Self-tutoring about gardening: the tutor mentions an observation about bees and female pumpkin flowers.
I found this YouTube video by Grow with Honeybee about the difference between male and female pumpkin flowers. Honeybee also shows therein how to pollinate the female flower.
Wondering if I should manually pollinate the female pumpkin flowers growing in the yard, I went out this morning to check their progress. A new female pumpkin flower had opened. Moreover, two honeybees were therein.
I decided, in that case, not to intervene. Apparently, a female pumpkin flower, freshly blooming, can command a lot of attention from bees.
