Autos, driving: all-weather vs all-season tires

Self-tutoring about tires: the tutor mentions a distinction.

All-weather tires are meant to be sufficient for winter driving conditions most Canadians will face. Winter tires are yet better (for winter conditions), but can’t be driven on during summer, whereas all-weather tires can be used year-round.

All-season tires, however, are not meant for winter driving in Canada. Typically, Canadians will have to swap such tires out for winter ones.
