Autos: Tire pressure: how much might a tire lose per month?
Self-tutoring about autos: the tutor mentions some thoughts.
It seems true that tires can lose air pressure over time. I’m not sure it’s a linear amount, but I do have to replenish the vehicles’ tires from time to time. Season changes seem, to me, to precipitate pressure loss. Anyhow, I check the tires for pressure about once per month, and have to add air sometimes.
One source suggests that tires might lose about 1psi per month, which I wouldn’t doubt. In my experience, my wife can tell the difference when a tire loses about 3psi. That’s why I’ve gone to checking them once per month:)
