Microsoft Windows: Recycle Bin visibility

Self-tutoring about Windows 11: the tutor mentions how one might find the Recycle Bin.

I seldom delete things. Today I did, then wanted to check the Recycle Bin to make sure I’d deleted what I meant to.

Apparently, one can’t necessarily see the Recycle Bin on the Desktop; it’s an option. It seems one can go into Start > Settings > Personalization > Themes > Desktop icon settings to be able to make the Recycle Bin visible, if it’s not already. (microsoft.com).

I minimized a bunch of windows so I was able to see the Desktop; indeed, the Recycle Bin showed up there. Even so, it seemed not to show up in the File Explorer listing for the Desktop folder. Anyhow, I was able to double-click the Recycle Bin icon on the Desktop to confirm what I’d deleted.
