Bird watching: Steller’s jay

Self-tutoring about bird watching: the tutor relates a seasonal event.

I mention Steller’s jay back in my post from Oct 6, 2017.

Yesterday, I heard a sudden squawk outside a screen door. I quickly looked out to see a Steller’s jay perched close by on a tree. It hung around the yard perhaps for an hour; I heard squawks and other calls now and again.

Rarely do I hear birds sing anymore, so the Steller’s monologue was a treat.
