Cooking: microwave cover

Self-tutoring about cooking: the tutor mentions the habit of using a microwave cover.

I started using a microwave cover over potentially messy reheats like spaghetti. Afterwards, if any splatter had happened, I’d just wipe off the inside of the cover.

I realized after a while, however, that the cover helped to heat the food more thoroughly, by acting as a blanket. Even though it was perforated, I could tell it still worked that way, because when I lifted it, I could feel heat rising from the food.

Nowadays, I always use one.
