Driving, autos: how many miles per month, part 1

Self-tutoring about driving habits: the tutor wonders how many miles per month is common on a vehicle.

I was looking around concerning how often to replace various automotive items. The inevitable concepts of mileage duration versus time duration came up.

Of course, such concepts seem to suggest that there is an expected number of miles per month that people drive. In the US, one estimate is 1015 miles per month, or about 1633 km per month.

Said number seems to be per driver rather than per car; one might wonder if they would work out about the same. Some people would spread their driving among numerous cars, while some families (this one, for instance) share fewer cars among more drivers.
