Email: how I break a log jam, part0

Self-tutoring about email: the tutor mentions a trick he uses.

Sometimes, I send an email, then check the receiving account’s inbox to see if it’s arrived.

What if the sending email account says it sent, yet it fails to turn up in the inbox of the account meant to receive it? This happens surprisingly often. What I then do is send a test email behind the “missing” one. The test email is always small, just a few words.

For some reason, the test email sent behind the “missing” one seems to push it along, so I receive both at the other end.
