Exercise and fitness: 30 down

Self-tutoring about exercise: the tutor mentions an impromptu one from last night.

My older son, who used to use weights a lot, now centres his workouts on calisthenics: push-ups, pull-ups, squats, etc. Such exercises allow for much improvisation.

Last night, he led me through “30 down,” I think he called it: a set of 30 squats, 30 seconds rest, then 29 squats, then 30 seconds rest, and so on, down to just one squat. We did it while watching a show on TV.

Needless to say, “30 down” was a bit challenging. Today, my quads are sore.

A question that seems natural: how many squats does one do during “30 down?” 30(31)/2 = 465.
