Gardening: vegetative re-growth of celery

Self-tutoring about gardening: the tutor mentions celery.

I discovered, this morning, this video on YouTube by The Ripe Tomato Farms about re-growing celery from just its base, which one might not eat anyway. From the base, new celery stalks will grow.

I believe the technique described therein works, because I’ve seen it happen by itself in the compost. Therefore, an idea might be to try one or a few indoors, in pots, over the winter, then apply the technique outdoors once the growing season starts.
