Self-tutoring about diabetes: the tutor looks into Type 1.
Type 1 diabetes is believed to be caused by autoimmune activity: the body’s own immune system targets the insulin-producing cells of the pancreas (the beta cells).
For Type 1 to occur later in life isn’t common, but it can happen.
