Home computer use: can a Chromebook host Windows?

Self-tutoring about current computers: the tutor looks into the idea of Windows on a Chromebook.

I was looking at computer deals online, and noticed that several Windows laptops actually were listed as having Computer type being Chromebook. I’d thought that Chromebook means it comes with the Chrome OS, not Windows: I was surprised.

It turns out that there is software by Parallels that can enable using Windows on a Chromebook.

Is that what was done with these Windows laptops I’m seeing listed as Computer Type: Chromebook? I’m not sure, but they do seem to have the system requirements.
