I don’t have much proprietary software. Yet, there’re times when people insist on pdfs. What to do?

One option – probably the best I know so far – is online2pdf.com.

I didn’t need to make an account; I just uploaded my files and their pdf versions automatically downloaded to my PC. It offers a merge function, plus others I haven’t explored.
