Home computer use: Windows 11: Widgets Board
Self-tutoring about Windows 11: the tutor mentions something that occasionally demands attention.
The following is according to my understanding.
Occasionally, when I am in an online meeting, a panel opens out from the left side of the screen, covering maybe a third to half of the active display area. It has news and weather, and a nice welcome message. However, at an inopportune time, it can be a little obstructive. Sometimes it seems to go away on its own, but other times it seems to linger. What is it, and how can one close it?
It turns out said panel is called the Widgets Board. My understanding is that, to open it or close it, one can click bottom left of the screen, where a weather forecast appears on the ribbon. Perhaps it’s located differently on other people’s screens, but that where it is on the PCs I use.
Since I learned about how to use the Widgets Board, I’ve started to look at it once and awhile: it’s nice. Most things in Windows are, when one comes to understand how to use them:)
