Internet: illegal infected website popup, part II
Self-tutoring about Internet hazards: the tutor continues.
In yesterday’s post I mention stumbling on a website by accident and meeting with a suspicious popup.
Afterwards, I did a full system scan on the computer. The virus checker reported that it removed Scr.Malcode!gen43. This appears to be a Trojan horse which is usually downloaded somehow, and then loads further malware onto the host.
I can’t help but wonder: Had Scr.Malcode!gen43 been present already, or did it reach the computer from that site with the popup that I reached yesterday by accident?
