Lifestyle, cooking: wearing safety goggles in the kitchen

Self-tutoring about cooking: the tutor shares a safety tip.

Last week I had to barbecue some burgers in the dark. The evening was beautiful for it (for about an hour), just luckily. Still, I wanted to be safe. After all, when fat drips down, flares can happen.

I’ve taken some industrial courses. Therein, I’ve learned that most people who get hurt, have the safety equipment, but just aren’t wearing it when the injury happens. That lesson has really penetrated.

I knew my wife would laugh at me for wearing safety goggles while barbecuing, but of course I wore them anyway. I also wear them for cooking bacon, adding potatoes into boiling water…there are so many cooking situations that are perfect for wearing them.

I have them on right now:)
