Lifestyle: shelf life of whole-bean coffee
Self-tutoring about coffee: the tutor mentions a discovery.
There’s new technology everywhere these days: a bag of coffee invites me to scan it to discover its source, etc. Eventually, I do.
I open my smartphone from 2013 (Nexus 4) and select the code reader (QR code reader, maybe?) I downloaded years ago. Next I capture the square code in the screen. It reads the code and invites me to open the link, which I do.
Apparently, this coffee has sources from Colombia, Guatemala, and Mexico. Its roast is medium-dark. It was roasted on Oct 8, 2020, and should be consumed by Oct 8, 2021.
I was interested to realize that whole coffee beans, once roasted, have a suggested shelf life of one year.
