Lifestyle: transit, part II

Self-tutoring about transit: the tutor continues….

Back in my post from Aug 24, 2017, I discuss taking the transit bus, suggesting how liberating it can be from parking, etc.

I’ve been on the bus again lately, and have another couple of observations about it.

I arrived at a stop about ten minutes early a couple of days back. I was alone, and it was peak time: soon I wondered if indeed the stop was active. Checking, I found it was. Yet, I was surprised to be waiting alone at a bus stop, downtown, just after 5pm.

For another five minutes, no other riders arrived. Suddenly, four did, which was similar with my expectations.

The fact that the other four, who seemed experienced with the bus, showed up with five or less minutes to wait, suggests to me how consistently punctual the bus is.

A thought that occurs to me more and more is how advantageous going along with the crowd often is. Transit is a good example: traveling when everyone else does, to and from the same place as many others, leads to the most convenience. Interestingly, driving works the opposite way, from my point of view.
