Math: factors, part 1

A factor, in math, means a number that divides into another with no remainder. For instance, 4 is a factor of 12 but 5 isn’t.
When you break a number down, by factors, as much as you can, you arrive at something like the following: 56 = 7 x 8 = 7 x 2 x 2 x 2 (since 8 itself can further be broken into factors). Now one realizes that, given that 56 = 7 x 2 x 2 x 2, 14 is a factor of 56: 56 = (7×2) x 2 x 2.
