Meet: Invite failed to send.

Self-tutoring about Google Meet: the tutor mentions a workaround.

Today, I started an instant meeting, then clicked Add others. From the pop-up list I selected the person I wanted to invite, then clicked Send email. In red, I got the message Invite failed to send.

Unwilling to believe it, I tried several more times, then even switched computers. Invite failed to send kept returning.

Finally I copied the link myself and pasted it into an email which I sent to said person. That worked.

I’m not alone.
