School supplies: Tekwriter mechanical pencils

Self-tutoring about mechanical pencils: the tutor mentions a kind he’s discovered.

Shopping for school supplies, my wife and I noticed big clear plastic boxes of many brightly colored mechanical pencils. We bought a couple of boxes, out of curiosity as well as for back-up. Interestingly, there are 18 per box. They’re Tekwriter pencils.

I take computer science courses sometimes. (My degree is in Math, so I’m branching out a bit). About every month I take an exam. Which supplies to take for such an occasion can be a bit to consider.

A couple of exams now I’ve used Tekwriter pencils. To be safe I take six, but only ever need one for a three-hour exam. They’ve got a good eraser and they’re light and nice to write with. Of course, the advantage of mechanical pencils over wooden is you don’t need to sharpen mechanical ones.

So, brightly-colored Tekwriter pencils, in the 18-pack – I use them.
