Strength training: maximum power
Self-tutoring about strength training: the tutor notices an article about the human power curve.
As I’m aware, a power curve tends to show power output on the dependent (y) axis, and RPM, energy, or some other input on the independent (x) axis.
In the case I’m mentioning now, the x-axis was percentage of One-Rep-Max: it found that, for squat, maximum power was achieved with a load about 60% of One-Rep-Max. For bench press max power was achieved at about 50% of One-Rep-Max.
Interesting, eh?
