Tree identification: apple

Self-tutoring about trees one sees: the tutor mentions an apple tree.

When possible, I walk places. Near where I live, therefore, I might pass quite often. Yet, I hadn’t noticed a certain apple tree, until yesterday.

During fall, winter, and early spring, a deciduous tree might be hard to notice. Even an apple tree’s apples may not be obvious to one passing by. However, apple blossoms are easy to spot without trying. Such happened to me yesterday: a tree I’ve passed for years without knowing what kind it was is a-bloom with apple blossoms.

Said tree, in a marginal place beside a trail, perhaps grew from a dropped seed. One might keep an eye on it now, to see what kind of apples it produces.
