Windows: search for files not a certain type
Self-tutoring about Windows: the tutor mentions a search he was pleased with.
The other day I wanted to search a directory for files that weren’t jpg. I imagined keying “not .jpg” into the search bar, but that sounded perhaps too optimistic. Instead, I queried a browser for how such a search might be accomplished.
Wouldn’t you know it: NOT .jpg turned out to be the recommended way to do it. I tried it, and it works. It seems NOT needs to be in all caps. Interesting, eh?
